I've been reading it after finally watching Zuruckspulen.
The first chapters are a bit weird, as you see they were still testing stuff, and some of it go somewhat retconned.
Stuff really starts to pick up after the second volume, I'm sure you'll like it.
It's complicated to compare it to Nomad's anime: It did cut a ton of stuff that Zuruckspulen had to then reintroduce via flashbacks and the sort, but I also feel that, similar to Emma, it expanded a ton of stuff, like Jun's feelings of guilt towards his sister as well as the character of Suigintou.
One of the negative changes was pigeon-holing Suigintou in that dumb trope of "I can defeat you right now, but I wont because... just because, OK?" (Fate/stay night had that a lot), while in the manga she only leaves when she feels she's at a disadvantage somewhat.
