Goosh Goosh. The fact that the anime never had anything remotely as disturbing or violent added to the sheer bizarre terror it induced. A random hip hop manga had a scene like that and then moved on as if nothing happened.

Itou Junji: Collection (2018) has some good episodes, although it's better to read it in manga form, as the anime loses the dark touch that the black and white and detailed drawings give it.
The first episodes of Higurashi can also give you a scare when you don't know anything about it. But by now, everyone has seen it.

I have no fucking clue why, but the first time I watched The Adolescence of Utena, the last few scenes really unsettled me. Something about Akio slowly walking towards a car that was supposed to be speeding down a highway, then standing there as Anthy almost got crushed to death, made it hard to fall asleep afterwards. It wasn't even trying to be scary.
