So our tl did a classic tl move and fucked up again. So Ely in the raws says "Sora ga... ma... sa...(ka)" which would actually mean "The sky is... no... wa...(y)" referring to the final page and that Ely got foresight now

Wasn't one of the prophesies earlier in the series about the sky becoming pitch black? I would've translated it as "The sky's... all..." There's also a decent chance she was saying 空がまさに instead of 空がまさか, but it doesn't really matter which version you use to translate off of anyway since same end result.

Still funny to see Ely is having trouble inheriting the mark way more than Batista did. Probably the whole not a beast thing.

This may unironically be the single biggest fuckup Batista did this arc. I hope the plane from prophecy actually got hijacked by him so he's there in time to save the main characters.

Strategically this makes perfect sense. They are at their worst, hitting Raise limit, barely able to fight. Sandek can't even move properly. If someone wants to take over Yamato, wiping combat trained choujins here is the best option.
Although i think Sato underestimates Palma and the depths of her dumbassery once she realizes what's going on.
