Because the japanese are incapable of writing anything other than their ancient religious lore.

I honestly think that Luffy is going to get completely rocked by Imu when the time comes, the same way Naruto and Sasuke died to Madara and Obito before plot kicked in and how Ichigo completely lost to Ywach before the arrow of plot okicked in and saved him, I think what's his name from Demon Slayer died to the Michael Jackson villain before whatever plot there saved him too, it's only natural. Hell, even back in the day Medaka failed against the Freshmaker despite her ridiculous amount of strength.

What I'm really curious about is what BS Oda has to either save Luffy from death or being Domi Reversi'd like Rocks and the giants as right now it seems only death can release them.

Still, I find Rocks's line before fully turning really strange "I'm disappearing" not "I'm finished" or "I'm dying" he said "I'm disappearing" what's that mean?
