She didn't get to design them, someone else did that and initial illustrations but yeah, she replaced the first person and is illustrating now. Adachi to Shimamura's anime was pretty alright but a lot lower key and everything. Chitose-kun is technically the next step for her because she got involved in the entire process of illustrating from the beginning and design and it got more money and promotion behind it with the tourism promotion as mentioned. Also, the LN actually topped the charts while I don't think Adachi to Shimamura ever topped with its LN.

The most famous example is City Hunter, which is also referenced by Chitose-kun’s author. City Hunter’s MC, Ryo, is a cool guy but has woman issues. Everything he does horny things, the heroine beats him in comedy ways.
Why? Because this gives viewers a sense of bad acts are punished but not being encouraged.
