did you not read the recent chapters ? She breaks the rules just to be alone with him,she hasn't given up. Arisu explained that only the va course can lead to a professional outcome, Shinobu monopolizing him when the stakes were higher for nene would have been low of her. the teacher had a line about shinobu needing to work alone which is happening since Arisu and nene aren't in the same class anymore. also there would be no point if Shinobu was not being able to grow without Arisu.

At this point, you're doing it on purpose. Shinobu being a good friend turns into a selfsabotaging strategy as if spending more time with him in that school would garantee a win yet he's now spending more time with nene but she's still losing.
