Episode just flew by. I was entirely invested in the story. That kind of devotion, I'm glad it didn't end up broken yet?. Will we find out more about her later?

And I forgot to comment on the episode.
Not sure how true to the age period it is, but I found that bit between Eikichi and Bo-chama interesting. Eikichi is trapped by his family's trade and can't simply leave it due to societal customs. It was obvious how his parents doted on him, but Ichitaro is a 100% spoiled boy.
give it to me straight, Shabakebros-
should I return from my hiatus on this show? I wanted to let it build up a bit b4 starting back up, last I saw was ep3
Pretty good episode. Kinda feel bad for Hakutaku, but that's how love is. >>283613956
Nah, I think it's one of those anime that's better watching after everything is released if you're already putting it on hold.

Kijin gentoushou enjoyers are here lurking. Chiming in for what feels like the tenth time to say I love the atmosphere and music in this show, it's just really cool. It's a welcome break from shit like Mugen Gacha and the regular sloppa I watch every day. Thanks for being here bros. More period drama anime are needed.

Just finished watching and you took the words out of my mouth. It's kinda disappointing if you enter it expecting a detective anime (which is how it was billed), but as a period piece, it's really enjoyable
Let's just hope it has more budget

I'm a little biased because I've spent more than 10 years playing classical saxophone, so hearing a sax quartet in anime is very exciting, but it's also super appropriate for the otherworldly feeling and atmosphere of the show. I'm happily looking forward to the rest of the episodes as they come out.

If you were able to enjoy KS, this is a much easier watch, but as I pointed out earlier, this show is closer to Kijin Gentoushou. It's a period drama, with the plot heavily based around yokai and spirits.
Unfortunately there's no ultra-hot sex gremlin driving the plot here, but it's still very much worth watching especially considering you survived 4+ episodes of Iwanaga monologuing in the back seat of a car

Speak for yourself mc deserves to get railed by his harem. There's no way foxy doesn't get him cum to by using the old excuse of yin and Yang discrepancies.

Nice. I'll get to it some time. >you survived 4+ episodes of Iwanaga monologuing in the back seat of a car
honestly I stuck to it because the vibes and the ost just hit the spot for me for some reason. Maybe because I watched the show as I was recovering from a broken ankle at the time so it was extra therapeutic. Also I need a horny midget that is hopelessly in love with me in my life. https://youtu.be/HORGBd-xPIE

It's surprising to me how little traction this show gets, but then again, I got called "unc" this week by a zoomer so maybe this show needs a guy with chainsaws for arms or something to capture that audience. kek

I started watching, but I'm currently keeping it on hold until it finishes, so I can binge it in one go. People that weren't impressed pretty much all have the same complaint that it's really slow, and that synopsis made them think it will be a detective story, when there is barely anything of the murder addressed.

I hate when I do this and miss out on all the fun threads where people post obscure tidbits
Like I avoided all Houseki no Kuni threads until I finished the manga and I'm sure I missed out on a ton of obscure Buddhist symbolism that anons explained
