I've been watching Sailor Moon on this 24/7 livestream channel and theyd used to air the full original series, the 3 movies, and then SM Crystal all on repeat, but I think they actually pulled Crystal for some reason because I never see it anymore

- 1st Arc: Read the first four chapters, then read Casablanca Memory before Act 5. Continue reading until Act 8, then read Sailor V.
- 2nd Arc: Read Chibiusa Picture Diary #1 before Act 15.
- 3rd Arc: Read CPD #2 before Act 27, then read Exam Battles before the last pages of the last act (when they go to Senior High)
- 4th Arc: Read CPD #3 before Act 40.
- 5th Arc: Read CPD #4 before the Arc itself, it's basically the calm before the storm, then PSM after Act 60 for comedy relief.

I dropped it after 3 or 4 the first time myself, it only really starts to find its pace when Mars joins.

The first episode of Sailor Moon is the best first episode of any anime.

Watched the first episode of the 90's. Holy shit it feels like a totally different show. I usually like fast paced anime but comparing both first episodes, Crystal feels rushed with poor direction.

Princess tutu's story is more dramatic and feels more concise in terms of how its arcs are written, compared to CCS which feels more like it was set up mainly to just tell a 'monster(card) of the week' format for sakura to dress up and go on adventures for.

Personally I like both but if I want to watch a story that actually feels like its actively progressing + has more real stakes and big shifts in the narrative, I'll watch Tutu.
