That said yes, powerscalers are a blight.

Something people dont praise JJK enough is how its the most consistent powerscaling series ever. Gege made it clear who are the pinnacle and everyone is below. Characters that are portrayed as weak or strong stays in that lane and doesnt exceed expectations so no one can ever powerscale badly since characters are already scaled at a level of either Below Sukuna, below Gojo, below Yuta or below Yuji. The only way for characters to compete depends purely on their cursed technicque, if you dont have a strong technique or heavenly restriction you're fodder.

In other Shonen series, typically characters that are portrayed weak will have upbringings to raise their level to the strongest but in JJK, you dont move higher unless you have a broken technique. If you're a bum to remain a bum unless you have a special technique that gives you agency.
