Okay, Devil Devil is a stretch, but discovering Pochita's background is essential to the story. Even Barem spoke about it during the Sushi restaurant scene. Doesn't feel like something Fujimoto can gloss over in one or two chapters like he did for Asa's nightmare/repressed memories.

For those who wonder why Yoru weaponize Michigan, remember Yoru loves America and thinks America loves her, supports her, makes her beautiful too. She must feel quite hurt destroying her lover piece by piece hence the weapon made from Michigan might be actually very strong.

Part 2 would've been 10x better if it was primarily about Asa and Yoru. With Asa discovering her devil side as she now has the power to enact her pent up desires in seach of a fulfilling life while Yoru descovers her human side as she discover fondness for human feelings of intimacy and love.
Denji playing a supporting role as he is experienced, displaying maturity and growth he attained at the tail end of Control, he would complete his character arc by passing the torch and saving a girl stuck in the same kind of situation as he was in Part 1, thus saving himself.

I'm watching the movie and I'm a bit confused, I don't really remember much of season 1. Can you guys give me a quick recap? I think the last I remember is Denji and company being trapped in an infinite room, and fox blue-eyed guy having flashbacks of the Gun devil in the snow.

Anyone else feel this conflict between Pochita and Yoru has no emotional weight behind it? Like play into Yoru being an evil shonen protagonist who values bonds, companionship, and sympathizes with her devil kin. From her point of view Pochita is a villainous asshole who ate her comrades, erasing them from existence, Pochita literally made a name out of himself from killing his own devil-kind and he's allying with humanity now. She should have a burning hatred for him and that should show in her expressions when just thinking about him, but instead she just screws around, laughs, or makes a frown.

chainsawman is an incredibly unsubtle devilman homage/remix. Through that lens, at the moment we have the MC going up against an extremely powerful devil woman who is cannibalizing her ally(s) for the power to overwhelm him, which is invoked as a form of the power of love and bonds.
The battle being referenced here ended with Sirene winning the fight and thus proving she was stronger, yet dying before she could deal the finishing blow. But now that Pochita has eaten Death, this can't happen. War won't get to die believing 100% that she's won, she'll reach the point of 'death by exhaustion' and just collapse, unable to to move but unable to die, and unable to deny that she failed to defeat chainsawman even in the best possible conditions for her

I hope Fujimoto doesn't bring back all the part 1 characters as CSM allies... Only for Yoru to kill them off again. Yoru isn't Makima, building her up like that wouldn't fit. She doesn't have that aura about her. Denji soloing her while she's using the power of friendship, on the other hand, would be a cool subversion.

The only way old characters should appear in the story is if they are given proper time and plot relevance to reintroduce them. E.g. the Blood devil suddenly showing up now wouldn't hit hard.

Okay, I had to avoid this place because when a chapter releases there is endless schizos seething about it for hours, but now that a lot of them are gone I wanted to lay out and say what nobody is saying but this chapter basically confirmed massive returns for certain characters very very soon and this isnt cope, I believe its guaranteed

First denji creating a brand new motive that implies he wants to create a normal world and invite people he likes inside and now yoru saying that she learned the power of allies/friends and taunting pochita not having them is clear foreshadowing created this chapter. This chapter confirmed that allies of pochita (aka allies that denji made in his life) are coming soon to help pochita fight the massive waves of yorus enemies

I feel like the most likely allies are the strongest ones denji made which is the blood devil and reze. The blood devil and bomb devil are likely gonna show up to help and the deathless war will boost their power. Then there's less likely ones that could show up like kishibe and his crew, quanxii, kobeni and maybe even a conquest 3 or other saved hybrids. There is fumiko as a possibility as she was teased at the end but I doubt it (although fumiko did admire denji during the aki fight). Their returns will represent how denji did manage to create allies throughout the story that will be there by him and pochitas side and this will carry the story into the next arc/part 3 (maybe the school festival one)

Here's my take on the ending. Denji snaps to become the King of Terror and wants to genocide all humans after abandoning his humanity. Since Death is erased, they meet an even worse fate. Pochita helps Denji to enable his own plan. The Part 2 cast teams up to stop him including Asa/Yoru, Yoru's friends, Katana Man, Seigi, Brobeni, Fumiko, and the Nail Fiend. Reze doesn't help out because she gets pregnant (it's speculated Denji might be the father). As they battle Denji, Pochita calls upon hybrids and random devils throughout time to stop them. These hybrids and devils don't seem to do much damage to our cast despite there being hundreds of them vs the main cast being a lower double digit number.
Eventually Asa has enough and decapitates Denji while kissing his head by weaponizing it. This stops Denji from fully completing the genocide at 80% of humanity. This also somehow ends the curse of devils being born into the world because Pochita saw Asa letting go of Denji and to stop the prophecy. This causes Denji to actually die since there are no more devils or devil powers.
It's revealed Denji brought everyone into Hell before the final fight and had a final talk with everyone knowing that he will lose before wiping everyone's memories. Fumiko will ask Denji why he genocided the world. Denji will say that he doesn't know why or that he's an idiot with too much power. He also doesn't want Asa (also Reze and Conquest 3.0) from moving on with another man for ten years at least. Denji's also the one who caused his father to get into a bunch of gambling debt and sent his father kill him to set him on this path. Fumiko will claim that she killed Denji. Reze actually got impregnated by a random public safety agent. Peace will happen between the former devils and humans until the named characters die of old age. Then war happens again because of the cycle of hate. And Devils return since Asa's descendant restarts the cycle somehow.

I just realized something, if Death is "erased", that means every single devil should be weaker/cease to exist soon. Devils are born/strengthened by human fears, all fears stem from death itself. Once humans figure out that Death doesn't exist anymore: Fear of war will Vanish from the world, because nobody fears war if you can't die. That's how Yoru is going to be defeated, but not by Denji, by Asa.


Asa or Yoru is going to touch Denji and say "Chainsaw man" attempting to say his name but it will instead turn Denji into a "Chainsaw" Man.

Aside from denji(who I struggle to even define as a man) the men in this series do literally nothing ever and just die or are written out of the story with no fanfare or exposition. they don't actually have personalities, they don't display any actual masculine characteristics, kishibe was the closest thing and we still know literally nothing important about him that isn't tied to a more relevant female character. denji is the first male MC i'v read where I just cannot resonate with him on a man to man level.
