Oh yes tell me how great the universe 6 tournament arc was. Wasn't it so cool watching Hit napping and muttering to himself the whole time in the most cliche anime cool guy fashion possible? Must have been cool because they redid it with Jiren. You know what I really like about that arc? Tournament fights between nobodies who will never be relevant again yet last longer than 1 episode. Base Frieza destroying a planet was a Toei only thing for years, like how King Bejita destroyed multiple planets with just a handwave which doesn't make sense, Toei loved to make things more impactful and spectacular. We just treated it as canon because there was nothing else in manga. But I'm sure a Toriyama version would have been different and less impactful.
