When I get in a rage at someone I fantasize about murdering them, but I've explored the feeling in all states of mind and am 100% sure that given a no strings attached opportunity to kill someone, I'd have no desire to. I just do not enjoy suffering, domination, or the idea of someone's life ending unless I have a personal grudge against them.
And I get the curiosity aspect, everyone wants to pick at scabs and know what the ugliest and darkest things looks like, but I've seen enough videos, especially drone videos these days, for the curiosity to be satiated. Frankly it's just boring and pointless and sad. Willingly taking part in something like blood tourism would be like taking part in the ultimate stupid pointless consoomerism and leaving a blank emptiness in your soul that can never be colored again. Like pouring something out to see what the splash looks like, or breaking something to see the smash, but now you just have an empty or broken vessel and you're not getting another one. Not with the good "real shit" that other people are still sipping on anyway, because they took it's contents and their actions seriously and respectfully

They check off boxes of experiences without ever really embodying any of it
