Why must I lose everything in life before I finally mobilize into action? It feels like I'm always in polar opposites, either it's going really well and I'm doing everything outside, or it's going really bad and I'm only indoors, suffering.

Now I'm again in this phase where I lost it all, and I feel so shit that it finally mobilizes me into action but I'm so slow with everything... Help me with advice bros. Please

1. Create a long-term plan.
2. Study the chart (picrel) and aim to keep ALL your activity with the upper right quadrant. By the way, where he says "recreation" he means activities that build you up, making you healthier, smarter and stronger, not frivolous entertainment.

I appreciate that anon. I'll use that. It really reminds me of the only thing that has kept me going through this time which is Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Any time I don't clean my house or take showers I feel unable to do anything else, so there's a lot of truth to "deadline tasks" ... Cheers. I'd love more advice if possible

Sounds like you fall into a routine, and the routine doesn't help you.
Make a new routine. Write it down so you feel like you've committed to it. Can be as simple as doing x thing in the morning and doing y thing after supper, or as complicated has having multiple time-chunks.
Could also journal maybe. Can help you see what you're doing and why you're doing it.

Also, feel free to internally congratulate yourself when you do something right. If you go for a walk, meet some people, study, or do whatever it is you should be doing, let yourself feel good about it, instead of feeling anxious or guilty for not doing it sooner or not doing it perfectly.
