Can’t sleep cuz of night deliveries, pls help
I live in Poland and I legit haven’t slept normally for a month. Every night, especially on weekends, trucks pull up under my window for deliveries. They wake me up like 3 times per night. It only lasts maybe 15 minutes, but that’s enough to completely destroy my sleep.

I’m wrecked, can’t focus during the day, feel like a zombie. Cops told me “well, they have to deliver” and that’s it. I feel totally helpless.

What the hell can I even do? How do you live when you can’t even sleep in your own home?

Pls help

Have you ever heard of earplugs?

Just to add: neither the building management, nor the police, nor even the community board want to do anything. It mostly affects me because I barely have neighbors around, so nobody else complains. But man, you can’t live like this.

The police — who we literally pay taxes for — refuse to help. I feel absolutely miserable. I work 6 days a week but can’t sleep properly. Every night I lose like 2 hours of sleep because of this crap. Earplugs maybe help a little, but that’s not a real solution.

And it’s even worse because me and my wife are expecting a baby soon. If we can’t sleep now, how the hell will we manage with a newborn?

Is there anything I can do legally? Maybe someone from Europe had a similar situation and found a way? Please, I really need advice.

insulate the windows and terrace, buy earplugs, or move houses. really these are your only options.

headphones and brown noise, or loud speakers

It is such a pity that these companies allow themselves to behave this way and completely ignore the residents. I feel very uncomfortable living in this country. We pay huge taxes, yet the police take the side of the companies instead of ordinary people.
And most importantly — they are acting illegally. We have clear restrictions regarding noise during the night, but the police simply refuse to do their job and close the case, claiming it has no evidence. They do not even want to come and investigate. Meanwhile, the companies just laugh at me, call me a fool, and tell me to endure it because they are running a business.

You probably live in a commercial district. You’re not supposed to live in those areas so t you should try to move as soon as possible.

Other than that, there are ways you can soundproof your room. You need to seal all of the air gaps and put mass between you and the source of the noise. I have some experience in doing this and it’s not too difficult.
