If a guy who is struggling is being an asshole to you for struggling, drop him and move on. He is like a rabid dog, who unfortunately and sadly is hurting himself, but you can't do anything about them and you'd only be hurting yourself. In other words, choose your friends wisely.

Exceptions exist. I had a friend i considered a brother fall into a cocaine addiction. Twenty years of friendship down the drain, but I gave it a bunch of shots to take him out for vacation out of the city or assist him in delivering a keyboard.

It will be a relief when he’s dead, and maybe that’s selfish. But I just couldn’t take it anymore
