I think gf was trying to make a joke but it really hurt my feelings to be called essentially ugly. She became super apologetic afterwards swearing I'm atttactive now but none of it makes me feel good. I was bullied a lot as a kid, called names and I was specifically called ugly so hearing her basically say it again has killed all my interest in her. We're perfect except for this one thing that shouldn't matter anymore but I can't help to feel resentful towards her.

Don't listen to these retards. Women don't experience attraction the same way men do. Yes, there is a physical attraction element, but it doesn't matter in the same way it does for men. Men care more about your appearance and your sexuality. Women care more about status and whether or not you can make them feel safe or provided for. Women can develop attraction to a guy who isn't necessarily her "type" physically and it literally changes the way they see you. Conversely, if a woman thinks a guy is attractive physically and he proves himself to be a whiny immature insecure beta bitch, she will no longer feel attracted to him. This is not true for men. You can have a hot girl cheat on you and spit in your face and burn your house down and you might think she is a bitch, but you will still think she is hot. It's just not the same. If you really are ugly and she finds you attractive despite this, and you make a rash decision and leave, you're going to have a hard time proving to a new woman that you are attractive and you might end up fucking yourself over.
