Colleague had a mental break today at work, I think I tipped him over the edge.
He asked me to hold his glasses while we were on break so he could blow his nose, and I immediately dropped them as he handed them to me.
He picked them up, muttered something in his chin, all of a sudden took his cup of coffee and slammed it full force into the floor, then stormed off. When I saw him next I told him I was super sorry and offered to reimburse him if I broke them.
He just told me to get the fuck away from him and to leave him alone. Later he apologized and said it wasn't my fault, but still declined a new pair.
He left work early and he hasn't even looked at me since. Usually we're buddy buddy and spend breaks together.
