What are some sweet things I can do for my boyfriend? I am so awkward when it comes to romance; every once in a while I like to message him to tell him I’m thinking of him, but I really want to do more! I want him to know how much I love him. Please feel free to list anything you have enjoyed in the past or that you think you would enjoy having someone do for you.

It depends a lot on his personality. I liked it when my partner would tell me how much she wants me, loves me, or likes me. Even without provocation it was meaningful.

She used to buy me meals randomly too, just to treat me well. That was also super lovely.

He’s calm and quite patient. He's also a little bit quiet, but still very polite and gentle, and he's really smart. He's super loving. He always makes sure I know how much he cares about me and I really want to do the same for him. I hope this is enough information about him! In terms of lifestyle, he works from home most days, and he lives in a big city. We're both homebodies.

Honestly the bar is low. Men are not generally used to or expect care, kindness or consideration.

Gestures that have previously touched me very deeply include
- Randomly being sent a takeaway when ex knew I was having a bad day
- Randomly being suprised with things similar to the "naked under trenchcoat"

If you are talking about deeper than that. The self esteem of most men, especially if they are average in some way, is usually pretty low. Giving specific compliments that really try show you see their value go a long way. Like if someone told me they really like how I dress, I'd not give it much though. But if they said they really like how I dress because x,y,z - that might stay with me. When someone shows they have a deeper read of me, I appreciate it.
