No one wants to see me because I'm male. Have been doing this since 2019.

I have had 3 women confess they found my therapy creepy because it came off as "flirtatious" which is not even true

Should I just quit? So far it's going horribly

How old are y9u? It might have to do with age. Maybe aim for troubled male demographics, like maybe become accredited in DBT. Fwiw I am a female who always preferred male therapists. The only reason I stopped was bc a male therapist advised me that the challenge maybe beneficial bc I struggle with other women. A lot of the males who prolific careers had stints working in prisons or inpatient facilities. Those patients aren't there "leisurely" if you know what I mean. And requires someone who "gets" them at a glance.

Real emotional support is expensive because it's valuable. I have helped over 10 people fix their lives and what the hell is my thanks for it? They don't even invite me to their wedding usually. I am brushed off to the side because people are embarrassed they needed me. I am tired of being devalued. I am sick of it to be honest with you.. I am a friend and I actually have a female friend who USED TO BE a client who ended up trying to seduce me. I refused and she threatened to lie and say I raped her if I didn't date her. I personally prefer a male therapist. A lot of my problems are male specific and women just don't understand them. Like how growing up my dad forced me to be ultra masculine and didn't like when I did stuff like writing or drawing because he wanted me to play football or learn about guns. How I could never cry or else he smacked me. Or how my brothers beat the shit out of me for not being as physically strong as them. Or how I struggle to connect with women because I've always been kind of nerdy and that's not what women want. I see my athletic friends who have had like 20 girlfriends so far and I've had exactly none unless you count temporary online girlfriends.

I have a really time believing a woman would understand any of that.
