Why do we assume the lives of animals are constant stress and struggle?
I believe a tiger enjoys the thrill of stalking its prey and slowly getting closer. A hawk has to derive fun from dive bombing some unsuspecting rodent. Even a rabbit probably gets a rush of dopamine from outmaneuvering a predator chasing it.

Only in captivity when animals are deprived of these natural behaviors they become depressed.

it IS a thing that people used to laugh after outrunning the cops and a less dangerous version of this was when you would play man hunt or something similar as a child and you'd outrun someone, it was always funny. Maybe gazelles and zebras and all prey animals are laughing their asses off when they escape a predator.
