i can watch people dying in the most gruesome way imaginable and not bat an eye. i spend hours watching liveleak compilations of jeets and chink getting chopped, smeared, zapped, shot and set on fire. but animal abuse i can't tolerate it. if someone would ever beat or mistreat an animal in my presence i would probably kill him on the spot. thanks for reading my blog.

We have had threads like these before. Usually it is indicative of a mental abnormality or trauma. The default mode of human empathy is concern for other humans and then animals, with humans lacking compacity for animals often also lacking compacity for other humans in turn which can be concerning behavior but also a sign of below average intelligence. But when it is flipped for no compacity for human suffering but concern only for animals that is when it is highly symptomatic of some form of disorder. This is not to place a value judgement of one's prioritys regarding animal wellfare but merely matter of fact.

However.

I just think you're desensitized and yet to become desensitized with animals. With time you will with the more violent media you view, it's a natural neurological defense mechanism (although you shouldn't be triggering it to begin with). Just stop watching shit.
