Anyone know how to access old mp4 or webm files from deleted threads?
barchive seems to only show images and any video that's archived on old threads shows as 404 when clicking on them

They don't exist anymore. There's no way to access the files in long deleted threads without a time machine.

It saves webms, last I checked, but the shitcode that runs it clearly doesn't save the original media in a way that makes it future proofed against new file types being added.
I don't even want to imagine what it looks like, it must be dumb as fuck because it sounds like something you'd have to do in the most retarded obtuse way to scrape and save files in that way.

Some boards if saves videos on but it does a half assed / censorious job of it even when they do. Not entirely their fault when the government and server hosts are perpetually throwing tantrums.
