I got expelled from university recently due to me failing my third try at an practical exam. I studied for 1 3/4 years and am now, of course, devastated bc I was literally halfway done...
I am now considering what I want to do next. I am a trained and state-certified photographer and mediatechnician and I used that as a base for my studies (I tried to study film design&animation as well as vfx, it was all within one course of study). Now that I failed with my studies, I am asking myself: Should I try to pursue the same industry and use what I was trained in or should I start something fresh? I am contemplating if I want to work for Deutsche Bahn as a train driver in long-distance travels or if I should try to shoot even higher and try to become a pilot. I know that getting trained to be a pilot is really, really expensive, but money would not be of any issue...
What do you think, random people on the internet?
Keep going with what I already know?
Get into an industry where I would risk getting insulted and assaulted on a daily basis bc german railway infrastructure is ass and people blame traindrivers for some ungodly reason?
Or should I try to go for the stars (or rather sky in this case) and travel world wide?
