Ive been pretty consistently drinking every other day.
Days i do drink i eventually knock myself out and sleep.
Days i do not drink I dont actually sleep i lay down and close my eyes for 8 hours straight. Sometimes ill sleep in that time period for a few hours but its pretty consistent.

Im convinced closing your eyes and pretending to sleep works to some degree.

One thing that worked for me (but I promised myself to stop drinking) was a four tier supplement of ashwegandha, L Theanine, magnesium and low dose melatonin. Also had chamomile tea and a warm shower before hand. At first I got small bursts of sleep, but normal sleep not booze sleep,then got even better over time. But I had to stop drinking, because you have to watch liver health mixed with supplements.
