here's a critical thinking question for you...if you could choose between living in a delusional but ideal (for you) state of mind for the rest of your life, or going on a mission to end all the suffering in the world, which would you choose?

I would choose the more truthful one regardless of the state of the world.

You know what...Thats a tough one. I know no matter what, suffering won't end. Suffering is part of life. We suffer so we can be comfortable and happy. There are some people that are so dumb to the point where they are genuinely happy and I find myself envying those people. I think its all up to us, personally, to create our own happiness through incremental suffering.

But the question is, if you pick the second part, would suffering finally ends? Because if we're talking about a paradise state, sure. I'll sacrifice myself for that. Oh wait, Jesus already did that.

Going on a mission to end all suffering is a delusional state of mind

May I ask what your definition and scope of โ€œend sufferingโ€ is?

I guess that explains why there's no suffering and the world is a paradise

Jesus already did that and I probably came back as a reincarnation and nothing is improved. Even worse. The creator of this world is evil, bro. The sooner you accept this the faster you can cope. Everything about the creation is wrong but the denizens of the world love the wrongness. I think there is a big ball of light outside this universe that gives us our souls and loves the good people, but the material creator of this planet is malevolent.

I chose both.
It won't be me who ends the suffering, suffering is an illusion. But I show people to the doors in their own mind.

that's the plot you're talking about...however, i would choose the "delusional state of mind" option
