No shit, man.
You’re seeing more Israel defenders on these platforms because a lot of American influencers and politicians are in their pocket.

Israel is basically America’s forward base in the Middle East.

$3.8 billion in U.S. aid goes to them every year.
In 2011 alone, over $2 billion went just to fund the Iron Dome, their missile shield that we basically built for them.

If Iran escalates, U.S. military involvement is guaranteed. It’s not a matter of “if,” it’s when.

And don’t forget, Israeli-American billionaires dumped over $300 million into Trump’s super PACs in 2024 alone.

So yeah, a lot of Israeli politics is American politics now.

America is a christian zionist nation full stop

And when I say "in their pocket",
I don’t mean in the “getting a check” sense.

It’s not that Israel pays all of them directly. It's deeper than that.
Call out Israel and you risk being labeled antisemitic, losing sponsors (Adidas, Disney, Unilever, etc.), getting blacklisted, or nuked from social media.
College professors lose tenure. Journalists get dropped. Celebrities get forced into apology tours for even whispering support for Palestinians.

Think about it, how many U.S. politicians have openly criticized Israel without walking it back? Almost none.
That’s not a coincidence. It’s the result of decades of pressure from AIPAC, pro-Israel lobbying, and billionaire donors who make sure the “right” people get funded, and the wrong ones don’t.

So when people say “in their pocket,” it means:

You want funding? Toe the line.
You want a platform? Don’t touch the Israel topic.
You want a career? Stay quiet, or spin it their way.

And all the while, $3.8 billion a year still flows over there - no questions asked.

3.8 billion is a rounding error, small potatoes in comparison to the money America throws around.

Sure. The U.S. has sent over $175 billion to Ukraine since 2022 most of it military aid, but also economic and humanitarian support.

Unlike Israel, Ukraine didn’t already have a fully developed defense industry and nuclear arsenal. They were invaded.

Israel gets $3.8 billion every single year, conflict or not, guaranteed, no strings. That’s been going on for decades, not just a reaction to war.

Sure, its the relative pittance Israel is getting that I should be upset about? If you say so.

“Small potatoes” yeah, if we weren’t $34 trillion in debt and cutting healthcare, housing, and education for American citizens, while tossing billions overseas.

$3.8 billion might be a rounding error to the Pentagon, but that’s still enough to:

>Wipe out student lunch debt

>Fund thousands of public schools

>Provide healthcare to millions

>Rebuild crumbling infrastructure

And don’t forget this Israel already has its own defense budget.
They just spend so much on American politicians and institutions that we end up footing the bill anyway.

You cant pretend to be upset about the amount of foreign aid funding if you just want to ignore the huge amount of money wasted on the Ukrainian genocide.

If you hate the jews, just say so.

Ukraine got $175 billion over 3 years, about $58 billion a year, because they’re in an active war. It’s emergency aid. Congress argues about it every time.

Now Israel?

They’ve gotten over $3 billion every year since the 90s, rising to $3.8 billion a year since 2019. That’s more than $120 billion in direct military aid alone.

But if you count everything - missile defense systems like the Iron Dome, joint weapons projects, tech R&D, intelligence support, and special allocations - it’s well over $260 billion total since 1948.

And unlike Ukraine, this isn’t reactionary. It’s locked in. No debate. No votes. No questions.
It gets paid out like rent, given to them even during peacetime.

So no, it’s not “small potatoes.”
It’s a 30-year open tab, politically untouchable, and shielded from criticism by weaponizing antisemitism as a deflection.

You're damn right people are upset. They should be.

one doesnt excsue the other

And there it is - criticize a government and suddenly it's "you hate Jews."

This is exactly the problem. Every time someone questions U.S. funding or Israel’s policies, it gets flipped into antisemitism - like pulling the race card when someone says crime is up.

No one said “hate Jews.” We're talking about billions of dollars in taxpayer money going to a foreign country with zero accountability. That’s a valid conversation, not hate speech.

If your only defense is to throw the antisemitism label around, then maybe the policies can’t stand on their own.

It is small potatoes when compared to the money wasted in Ukraine.

You're upset that America wants to fund a foward base in the med that is independent from the obligations and restrictions of nato and the eu?

I am not. $4b a year seems like a reasonable investment for such an entity.

$60b a year to maintain a stalemate trench war in eastern europe? I don't see how that is a worthwhile investment for the US.

You're calling $4 billion a year “reasonable” for a forward base, but ignoring that it’s been 30+ years of blank checks, no oversight, and total political immunity. That’s not strategy - that’s dependency.

And if Israel’s so independent, why are we paying for their defense systems, their weapons, and bailing them out every time they bomb a hospital?

Meanwhile, yeah - Ukraine spending is bloated too. No one said it wasn’t. But at least it’s tied to an actual war with a global adversary. Israel gets paid whether there's a war or not. full stop

This isn’t about one or the other. It’s about both being endless money pits - and only one of them can’t be criticized without getting accused of hate. That’s the problem.

Do I support tax money going to either? Fuck no.
But at least Ukraine was invaded.
Israel’s been doing the invading since the '60s

Well if you want people to take yo seriously when you are arguing on the topic of wasted forgein aid, you will be rightly and justly called out as a hypocrite when you lead with Israel rather than Ukraine.

You’re proving the point for me.

We can’t criticize U.S. aid to Israel without being called antisemitic or a hypocrite, even when the exact same criticism is fine if it’s about Ukraine.

You say Israel is “independent” yet it’s funded by the U.S. to the tune of $3.8 billion a year, with zero strings attached, and has been for decades.
Independent countries don’t need foreign welfare to commit war crimes with impunity.

This isn’t hypocrisy - it’s the double standard no one wants to admit.
That’s the problem

Brainwashed people don’t know they’re brainwashed

Israel spends millions every year on U.S. lobbying, media influence, and campus surveillance programs.
They fund think tanks, pressure politicians through AIPAC, and even have whole departments dedicated to online propaganda, like Hasbara - literal state-sponsored internet spin.

Hollywood, news outlets, even school textbooks are shaped to push the idea that Israel is always the victim - no matter how many homes or american people they bulldoze(see Rachel Corrie, a 23-year-old American peace activist who was crushed by an Israeli military bulldozer in 2003 while protesting home demolitions in Gaza.)
or other civilians they bomb.

It’s not accidental. It’s engineered narrative control, and most people don’t even realize they’ve swallowed it.

They make fun of that American they bulldozed - Rachel Corrie -
by making pancakes

$3.8 billion of U.S. taxpayer money
every year - and they laugh about killing Americans.

And no - this isn’t an insult to Jewish people.
It’s a callout of a government and our funding its actions, not a religion or people.
