You can force Win 11 to install on unsupported hardware, google it. If youu don't have the technical ability to do that then you really won't cope with Linux.

honestly if your PC can’t handle Windows 11, Linux is a solid option. It’s not as scary as people think there are versions made for older computers that run way faster than Windows ever did on the same hardware.
And if you really need a Windows app, there’s something called Wine that can run a lot of them just fine
Linux is great when it works but it's a fucking nightmare when it doesn't. Even something simple like a browser can fail to launch and that leaves you scouring the internet for error codes and fucking about editing config files. It's getting better all the time but it can be really high maintenance. I just like it because I hate all the bloat and AI spyware they're pouring into Windows.

Only downside is if u play online games that require anticheat. Apart from that it's fine. Retards that say it's hard or a chore to use havent used it.

this, I've got windows 11 running on an ancient HP Z600 unsupported hardware PC. it's not difficult as long as you can follow instructions.

Its up to you. I'm on windows 10 right now but I will switch to linux when support for it ends. But there are some people who are still clinging to Windows 7 even.
