I'm getting older and the passage of time just goes faster and faster. I need it to slow down.

i've been trying to solve this myself I know how you feel. It's novelty. that's the key. you have to inject novelty into your life at every turn. some of it comes naturally, your job, your family, etc. but you have to get outside and just do shit. you have to get new hobbies. you have to get obsessed with new things for 2 days and then drop them. you have to do things you've never tried over and over until you die. you have to.

Use your brain to solve problems. Then just keep expanding your situational awareness. Time is just now and time keeping is the repeating at the same intervals for historical record. Focus on what you like, then ask... How does it work? Can I rebuild it from scratch without blueprints? Think about that of shit. Anything. Once you break down the microwave oven, you'll get rid of that shit. Not because it fucks up food, it's just that the magnetron is never insulated properly.

too much routine, too many things you know
learn new things, look at new stuff, experience the unknown, make memories

It's nearly impossible to normalize a altered temporal perception.

Depends on what you're doing.
The more natural something comes to you, the slower it feels.

>>It's novelty.

Yeah, I think that's true for me as well, but I have adhd, and adhd fucking loves novelty. Not sure if everyone's brain works that way.

It's probably accurate to say my perception of time is delineated by memories of novel events but then there's >>935774971 who's perception of time is apparently delineated by the times he tweaked out on kitchen appliances, so who knows.

Part of it is unavoidable. This is because our biological clock measures time relative to how long we have been alive. When you are 1 year old 1 year = 1 lifetime. When you are 30 years old 1 year = 1/30 of a lifetime.
