>>935829284my scheme is better and more responsible. it transfers responsibility for our own vehicle liability to you. it does not require others to exercise responsibility FOR YOU. in the event of injuries, or damages in excess of your insurance (which you pay for, and presumably you can pay for more comprehensive insurance, like any other insurance plan), you can take your chances suing the other driver.
car insurance is only necessary because it's legally mandated. it's not a necessary evil at all. it is in essence a sort of socialization of insurance, by making sure every single driver is insured, by law, with the consequences of not having insurance being having your car and maybe your driver privleges taken away. this can be absolutely ruinous for people.
in many cases driving is not optional. if you want to work, you typically need to drive. if you don't have a car, LIKE ME, you structure where you work and live around public transport. busses don't go everywhere in my city, so this limits where i can work or live. one reason i don't have a car is because i'm not going to participate in this predatory scheme where the government makes insurance companies richer by making everyone by insurance.
they tried to do this shit with health insurance too. it was get insurance, or be fined for not having insurance. either way you get fucked out of more of your money. fuck the government and fuck socializing responsibility. be responsible for yourself.
