I really hope that we find a unifying solution and cause for this new age political hatred, because America is literally the only place where it can happen. We're the only place that will allow this amount of dissonant rhetoric to take form, and at the end of the day the only way to help humanity to evolve is to acknowledge that humans are human, not to "wish away" human nature or pretend it doesn't exist.
Good luck you anons. I think I'm gonna take a break from /b/ for a while after tonight, or today.

That is what republics were designed for. The ideal is to mitigate the human condition discretely rather than pretend we are something else.
Ever notice how people generally don't remember very much? Or think they remember more than they do? I have noticed this my entire adult life because I just happened to have a better memory than the people I knew when I was growing up.
I thought characters in shows or movies were written to be humans, not vehicles to deliver information through a plot. But when I entered the workforce, so many people caught me on forgetting things, people who also forgot things I noticed.
Media greatly exaggerates human ability. We lean so much on narratives and take what we know for granted.
Knowing this, I think it is incredible how far we have come in the last few thousand years.
