Because the world is interconnected whether we like it. If Iran has a nuclear weapon, that affects us because they could use it on us. The word "globalism" however most commonly refers to free trade which means that if Japan creates an innovative toilet that beats anything made in America, we should be able to buy Japanese toilets in America.

Most of the cool stuff you have is only possible to create at that price if several countries are involved. And I dont know about you, but I like to travel.
Those two points alone should make you a "Globalist": liking your PS5 and wanting to visit the Pyramids or the Colosseum.

Because the genie doesn't go back into the bottle and your standard of living doesn't get better unless some 3rd world hellhole is suffering for it.

Take heart, ideally if your country is wealthy enough you will drain all the talent and influence from the rest of the world and still benefit from the cheap labor and production done elsewhere while your jobs remain lucritive and your influence only becomes stronger.

Neo cucks are retarded to think that they want the jobs at the apple factory, you can have all of your commodities while resting on your laurels. What we need is for all that wealth that we directly benefit from internationally to eventually diseminate to the rest of the country. But they are too stupid to understand the difference between socialism and communism. You get to use the market to make yourself powerful but also have a powerful comsumerist class socially supported enough to keep buying things.

4chan really is occupied by dumb as rocks teenagers these days isnt it. globalism is the path of least resistance, its the breaking down of all culture, identity, meaning and converting it to simple economic units. instead of having a civilisation, an actual civilisation, you just feed it all into the globalism meat grinder which produces globalised slush. name something that globalism has created, a movie, a painting, a building, a person, etc. that anyone cares about? that has value? that is beautiful? that has any meaning? there isnt anything because globalism isn't civilisation, it has no purpose but to dissipate all energy

lowered barriers to communication and trade = easier to exert your will = bigger tax/customer base = more money for fewer people at top

Globalism is a thing because we all get richer if we trade with each other. Throughout history, trade has always brought prosperity to those who partook in it. Nowadays, modern economics explains that even if country A can produce two goods for cheaper than country B, A is better off specializing in one good and trading to B for the other. This is the law of Comparative Advantage.

In addition, technology has made the world “smaller”. It is faster, cheaper, and safer to ship goods or travel, and near instantaneous to communicate with people in what were once distant lands.

Another factor touched on already is security. The U.S.-led rules-based international order is seen by most countries as mutually beneficial for everyone. One big reason is that U.S. maritime might (and that of her allies) mean that shipping routes are protected from piracy and acts of war. Institutions like the United Nations have also played a role in this Pax Americana—the American-led peace that has obtained since the second World War.
