Just to preface this, I realize how embarrassing/disgusting this is. I'm having a girl over soon( 1-2 weeks)for a movie, only issue is my couch in the room we'll be in reeks of cat urine. I did get an enzyme urine cleaner which I will douse the couch in, am going to get Febreze, get some candles and also ordered couch covers so I can just pop them in the washing machine if the cat pees on it. Any more advice? I acknowledge cat urine is tricky as hell and I could have legit professional cleaners clean the couch and the smell may still slightly remain.

i guarantee you if you live in these conditions on the daily, what's going to happen is you are going to half ass clean this couch and you'll think it's all good because you're noseblind to the catpiss from living like this for so long. this girl is going to come over and smell a mix of catpiss couch and a chemically scented desperate attempt to get rid of the catpiss and be very turned off.

the only winning solution is get rid of the couch and do better with your cat and general cleanliness. often times pets start this because you arent cleaning their litterbox often enough and then it just becomes habit. you have to take better care of the cat or get rid of it.

Nah, my mom is a Bonafede retard who let a crazy cat lady live with us for a few months. She ended up moving out and dumping the cats(fucking 5 of them) on us and my mom thinks it'd be cruel to leave them outside

run it all day while you are out of the house in whatever room has piss stink in it then air things out for a couple of hours before you spend any time in there

one treatment might get it, it may take two or more depending on how plush the couch is and not just walls or something thin, but it really knocks smells out of everything

it will smell like you washed everything with bleach for a day or two so don't do this the day before and

b) take the girl some place that isn't your mom's flop house
c) move the fuck out immediately because if you can save 15k then you have a job and there's no reason to be living in your mom's house any longer

I'd do it asap, give things two days to normalize, run it again, normalize again then hit everything with febreeze and put some nice candles out
maybe simmer some apple cider with cinnamon sticks and orange slices or whatever it is so that that smell drifts in from the kitchen

As someone who owns a retarded cat that pees on shit sometimes, unfortunately there's not really much you can if you don't catch it fast. That couch is probably fucked. If you catch the cat peeing or find the puddle soon after, baking soda and vinegar will do the trick.
>gently dab wet spots with paper towel to soak as much up as possible
>liberally apply baking soda
>let it soak up piss
>vacuum with shop vac
>spray area with a vinegar/water mix
>apply more baking soda
>let it soak up again and then vacuum
>rinse and repeat until you can't smell anything.
That won't help you now but it's amazing how well this very cheap method works if you catch it fast. Once the piss sets in, especially on a couch, you're pretty well fucked.

15k in savings ain't bad. How old are you? Moving out would certainly slow the rate of you being able to save up but ffs man, you should probably just think about getting your own place. Getting to your goal before moving out will set you up well and that's worth more than getting pussy at 22. You best pussy getting years are still ahead of you. I say just go buy a new couch (you can find good deals on FB marketplace), stay living at your moms and grinding until you get to your goal.

I'd also suggest talking to a financial advisor if you haven't already. Seems like you're good with money so getting some professional guidance can help you reach that goal faster and then some.
