>>936304824 (OP)unironically yes. mostly cuz of its atmosphere and modding capability.
Its main quest is OK, the guild quests vary but are generally better, the random side-quests have some bangers.
Soulsfags cry about the combat not being rollslop but its fine if you just want to mash Mouse1 & W. Go with Stealth Archer or Conjuration/Destruction magic if you're new.
the DLCs are less good but you'll get a good 20 hours each out of Dawnguard and Dragonborn.
Pros:
>god tier OST>god tier atmosphere, everyone loves and can relate to snow capped mountain peaks and nordic log cabins>decent RNG, you can just wander around and find/encounter random shit even after 100s of hoursCons:
>crashes constantly if its modded incorrectly>bethesdajank, the usual NPCs doing weird shit or clipping through things that all of their games have>there's like 4 or 5 different bundled editions cuz shit company is too lazy to just make a new game, they'd rather release Skyrim againAll in all, if you can pick it up for under $30 you'll probably sink 200-500 hours into it over the next few years. Your first playthru will be around 50-100 hours and after that you'll probably do a 20 hour playthru every 6-12 months or so.
