The inevitable heat death of the universe. Energy-transfer is not 100%-efficient. The tiniest fraction of energy is lost during the transfer. This is not significant enough to have any effect during the transfer, but it all adds up. Eventually, absolutely everything as you know it will simply run out of energy.
