It looks like those who play pirated versions of The Talos Principle are trapped in an elevator and won’t be able to come out no matter what. One of those players recently posted on Steam that he can’t advance into the game because he is trapped in an elevator:

“When I unlocked 2nd floor on the tower, all the elevators have stopped working. Whenever I want to get somewhere, it just stops in the middle of the way and I can't do anything. Does anyone has the same problem? What should I do?”

Apparently, it took more than two weeks for someone to show the world how Croteam decided to punish gamers who don’t actually buy their game and prefer to play pirated versions.

was walking home past the old industrial park.
There’s this broken bulletin board near a fenced-off tower.

One flyer on it.
Looked fresh. Not rained on.
