I admittedly haven't seen too much of the lineup. After Endgame I kinda bowed out of following it so hard (also because the ex was my main source of info) but I can say that the new Fantastic 4 doesn't interest me all that much. If it doesn't have a low production Thing in it, or Jessica Alba, I don't want to see it.

The new Superman does look promising, though, especially since Russo is behind it. I enjoy the goofy humor he sprinkles into his movies. And from what I hear, the original Superman was arguably pretty goofy, too.

82 here, haven't watched any movie since endgame, i had star wars 9 tickets and fell asleep only to wake up a bunch of indians riding horses on a star destroyer. I grew up making lightsaber sounds while pretending to be luke and had a fanny pack full of marvel card and always watched the cartoon when it came on. They ruined it all on purpose, no true fan is watching any of the new crap. All the new stuff is junk still, female silver surfer, a who cares F4 movie, and a jew superman. 28 years later looks half decent for a popcorn flick but will probably involve a white guy trying to do some evil stuff and a black woman karate chopping him or something to save the day.

I wouldn't consider myself a diehard Star Wars fan, but I have watched almost everything put out. ...but yes, episodes 7-9 were total fucking garbage. On the flip side most of the series have been badass except for Andor, which was also total garbage.

Lmao, though I agree on the newer stuff being more or less fodder to rake in the cash, I do still enjoy sitting in theatres for the experience. I just watched the How to Train Your Dragon remake on Screen X with the wife and we walked out genuinely satisfied with how it turned out.

Once a year, I have marathons of the movies I loved while growing up, The Fast & Furious saga, Star Wars, HTTYD, all the Spider-Man films. Shit's cash, i just love movies.

But I digress, I'm not overly excited yet with the direction Marvel is going right now. When I start hearing that some of the newer flicks are "MUST SEE"s, I'll have an opinion then.

I feel like Disney is finally off the ground with both Marvel and Star Wars, but they're still experimenting and getting the hang of the flight controls. The SW movies have been rough to get through, but the series are great. As for the Marvel side, they are looking more and more crappy. Infinity Wars was the last good one. Deadpool and Wolverine was more of a running gag than anything. They need to get back on some Dr. Strange if they want to bring in some new fan favorites, they need to dig a little harder than they have been. I'd like to see them take a shot at Galactus, do some more Juggernaut like they did in Deadpool 2, and maybe take a shot on a movie centering around Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants. I just think they need to let Fassbender go though. He's not a Magneto.
