Reminder: The U.S. Shouldn’t Be Backing Nazis in Ukraine
Ukraine has a right to defend itself. That doesn’t mean the U.S. should arm groups with neo-Nazi ties. Units like Azov have used Nazi symbols and have been accused of war crimes in Donbas, including torture and shelling civilians, mostly Russian-speaking.
This isn’t just bad optics. It’s actual support for ethnic violence. It goes against everything the West claims to stand for. "Never Again" doesn’t mean "unless they’re fighting Russians."
It also hands Russia a propaganda win. Putin uses this to justify the war. When we ignore it, we help his narrative.
Support Ukraine’s sovereignty, sure. But don’t excuse extremists just because they’re on our side. No free passes for Nazis.
