I do believe that trans teens should have the right to make decisions about their bodies. I'm trans, and if I had more resources in my youth, and the opportunity to get on hormones during puberty, I would be inhabiting a body with physical sexual characteristics that more closely align with my gender identity. I'm not saying we should be letting little kids transition, but I was questioning my gender identity pretty much all through puberty, and genuinely feel that I would be happier and experience less mental distress if I'd been able to embrace transitioning at a younger age.
On the subject of borders, I feel that this country needs a much more robust system in place for people to become citizens. The era that we live in precludes any sensible way of enforcing border control. The majority of illegal migrants simply come here via plane and overstay their visa. No amount of physical border infrastructure is going to change that, its a completely stupid waste of resources. The majority of resources put towards trying to secure our borders would be better invested in resources for allowing people to gain citizenship.
It is an unpopular opinion, but I genuinely believe that most illegals here love this country in a way that conservatives wish they could. Someone who risked their very life and/or that of their family to be here, as far as I'm concerned, probably has more love for this country than some goon who was force fed "AmErIcA iS tHe GrEaTeSt CoUnTrY oN eArTh" propaganda from the start of their life, because they had to really earn it and knew the risks involved.
