crows are scavengers so i'd assume that amount of fat they can get is high so brain development should be near max, spiders eat insects so id assume a lower fat percentage per meal and thus lower resources for brain development, but that doesn't correspond to the rapid increase in memory limit; from 24 hours a few years ago to almost 72+ hours plus pattern recognition.
