Company I worked as CAD and CNC tech for 12 years laidoff most of us under trump's first term economic shitstorm. I finally gave up and signed onto several temp agencies and been doing absolutely horrific entry-level no-skill labor until February 2025 when work dried up, likely due to trump fucking with the world economy again.
I've had to give up again, does not seem likely I'll ever have a job again. So I've been ghetto remodeling my home just a few weeks more work away from renting out a room, and having reduced my bedroom to nearly a closet so I can soundproof walls and finishing the power upgrades for a workshop. Brought all the tools I had in storage, dad is disabled and retired so he gave me his woodworking equipment, have 2 CNC machines under tarps outside waiting to be brought in, and getting familiar with ebay and etsy to sell my crap. My future looks like making garbage wood and plastic signs for lobotomized interior decorators.
