Capitalism is a series of institutions that rule the lives of people in society in the 21st century.

Most of the innovation in technology (that allows for better working environment and increase in production) comes from state funded research, not the private sector.

Just wanted to point that out, but nothing wrong with profits. I love companies like Netflix and Amazon.

Are they state funded because the State wants to control what comes out of these places?
Or do you actually believe in a benevolent State?

The states fund private firms. The money is from taxes created by working citizens. The govt is just a middle man that takes a cut. They don't provide anything of value. Stfu retard.

I think that it depends on who governs the state.

There is no strong economy itw that doesn't have strong state thl. Just look at china and the US. Both interventionist, high money spending states.

>They don't provide anything of value.

That would be the capitalist. That's why the state was created. To protect the right of private property from the capitalists.

But they are spending more money than they bring in. You think this is a long term sustainable model?
If the State has no accountability or transparency (or alternative for that matter) what is in their interest to continue being benevolent?
NArcissists and megalmaniacs are drawn to power, and they definitely dont have the populace's best interests at heart. Its about their own power and maintaining plausible deniability for their own gains.

I'm not interested into discussing the human psyche and the things they do to each other.

I'm just saying the institution itself has nothing to do with it.

An institution is nothing more than a collection of people, right? How can it not be the sum of all it's parts?

Because the institution itself doesn't have a sense of "drive" to do things. It's the people that decides what to do, see?

How can I explain this: it's like blaming cars for car accidents. It's not the car, it's the driver (society).

Oh, so it's the economy right? Yeah no problem, it's not like it has any influence on the political world.

The institution is driven by the people that run it. If the institution is flawed, it is because of the people running it. You are correct. Now you are starting to see the problem with group think. It doesn't work. Its always individuals in the group that are the problem.
Now apply this to your critique of capitalism.

I didn't criticize capitalism. To the contrary. The state is necessary for a functional, stable capitalist environment because it protects the private property with police, laws, etc.
