I think Gutting FEMA was stupidity incarnate. However I live in Florida and I was in the enormous area hit by that major hurricane decades ago. We were out of power for months. No water, and because sewer systems are now electric, no sewers. In all those months, I never saw a god dam thing from FEMA. Not a water bottle truck, not a tent city, not a single god dam thing. My area was out of power for two months. Some areas of Florida were out of power for four months with one area didnt get power back till almost the six month mark. Never saw hide or hair of FIMA. As for cutting fema means flooding will be an everyday thing like the article suguests, Um no. The fucking government cant fix the street lights, they are going to be able to control flooding?
