Whenever there is some major political controversy happening in this country, this (coincidentally, I'm sure) literally richest man in the world steps out from the woodwork to emerge as the "hero" that we need, and at the precise moment that we need him to?

And yet, even though we can always count on this "hero" to emerge when he's needed, nothing ever actually gets any better, and instead only progressively worse.

That's what is known as the 'release valve' which appears precisely when it's needed. When the dominant power hegemony pushes too hard and those they rule over become disgruntled they must dial things back before they face outright violent revolution. Hence the pressure release valve is opened to prevent the pot from boiling over and after things have settled down it's back to business as usual.

They're still around, but they've lost political power and their agenda is no longer being promoted by the state. Trump ended DEI/CRT and all that on day one of his presidency via executive order. Did you notice how the "gay pride month" of June was so much more lowkey this year in contrast to how it was under Biden? That's because the US government is no longer promoting it. That's because your party lost power and these are the consequences of that.
