the thing about Jews is, they're actually not smart at all in terms of raw intelligence, but they are endlessly clever in that they can figure out how to escape from virtually any bad situation or hardship, which they have done for centuries

Jews are smart because to become a man, they have to be able to read and discuss the Torah. Otherwise you could not remain a Jew, marry a Jewish woman, and have Jewish children. So they have been selectively breeding for intelligence for thousands of years. Contrast that with Christians who were discourage from being literate by their church for most of it's existence.

God said they were His Chosen People. So the rest of us don't have much choice about it.
