>>936992032 (OP)Most people are meat machines that just repeat patterns. Including you and me. It would be narcissistic to criticize humanity and not include yourself. It's almost impossible to change most people's minds. People just want their own thoughts and beliefs to be confirmed to them. People will say they care about logic, but they just say that because it feels good on an emotional level to believe you are logical and objective. These are things you should strive for. But, ultimately, even smart and open-minded people are prisoners of patterns and seeking information that confirms their already held thoughts, beliefs and actions.
Once you understand this. You will realize most of what people say or think does not matter at all because most people rarely ever think. Now here is the tricky part, you should still care on some level, only in that people and their petty emotions can affect you and your life a great deal. But never feel it on an emotional level.
Three books I would recommend to anyone who wants to improve their social skills are.
>How to make friends and influence people>48 rules of power>The art of seductionThese three books give you a PHD in social skills. Understand everything logically and avoid emotions.
People like power and will abuse it (even informal social power). It's sadistic and animalistic. Acknowledge it as the gross behaviour that it is and move on. It should at most only sting for a moment, because who are these people anyways? Just animals, not even trying to rise above their basic animalistic programming.
