it's been 3 days since i started my meds and i feel much more depressed. i'm laying on my bed doing literally nothing like half the day. when is it gonna get better... :(

are you depressed in a normal way or more in the sense of 'what the fucking world is going to do about it' kind of depression?

It they work to change the way your brain takes in serotonin to a more stable manner
They stabilize one, but its a long term thing
My psychiatrist prescribed me antipsychotics together with the antidepressants so I would be stable for the first couple of weeks

The antidepressant started doing its thing one month later, anf my psychiatrist warned me to remain constant with them for at least three months before I stop taking them if I was going to do so

I'm not sure what the latter is supposed to mean. It's just depression. I don't enjoy anything and i don't have any motivation to do anything. The only thing is i actually haven't been suicidal at all since i started the meds which i had been every day before that. So the depression is still there but without the suicidal thoughts.

Yeah it's prozac. I wish i got some antipsychotics too, sounds nice. I'm not gonna stop taking them or anything but i hope it doesn't get even worse than this before it gets better because it sux rn.

Well, your doctor should tell you this. It's normal. You will have wierd feelings for some times (ussually up to 14 days). The worst will be anxiety in normal situation. Your meds will work after taking them for at least a month probably

Different drugs work differently on different people. Ask your doctor or try to find online. It for me it was all bearable but i had anxiety for days 8-10 I think. My stuff wasnt for depression though
