Ever since I first heard about WW2 in high school history class, I never believed it for a simple reason. They never told me why Jews were hated in the first place. As far as I could tell, Hitler was just trying to protect his people. And that's something all people can admire.

So I, as a mestizo, made a linoleum Hitler carving for art class. My white, male, elderly boomer, lifelong hippy teacher, who had a full head of long silver hair and glasses, gave me a passing grade, and never said anything about it, so I still wonder to this day what was going through his mind when he saw it.

lol special ed from 6-8th grade, for behavior problems. A couple had ankle monitors, one kid was deaf and talked like a creature. One was autistic and played with clay while making loud noises. When did you learn it?
