I have some gay friends from Germany who don't act at all like American fags. They aren't flamboyant in the slightest, don't shove it in your face, and have normal jobs like electrician and a lawyer and not some gay meme job like "community organizer" or "activist". I respect them a great deal and they are lovely people who mind their business and don't put their sexuality at the center of their entire universe.

Then you have people for whom sexuality is their greatest achievement, their life's work, their entire experience of life revolves around it and they feel everyone should know, acknowledge and celebrate their sexual proclivities. I do not enjoy being around those people, and I feel like the average person doesn't either. I live in America, it was founded by puritanical Christians and while it's not an officially Christian nation and I'm not a Christian myself, I stayed here for this long because I believe that relatively conservative Christian democracies have given rise to some of the greatest and most powerful nations with the best opportunities, so I choose to respect those cultural norms. I have a general disdain for people who don't understand that be they super flamboyant fags, super uppity and in your face minorities, or foreigners who want to build the biggest shiniest loudest mosque in the most prominent locations of significance to Christians or others, like the dickheads that wanted to build a giant mosque across the way from where the WTC towers stood. I don't care or want to think about dumpy fat doughboys fucking eachother, I don't want to have to sit through your awful self-centered pride parade or have my son see the extremely frivolous and pointless lifestyles of professional fags and drag queens and career activists who are only alive because science has spared them from a painful death from AIDS, preaching to me about values and tolerance. To be the devil's advocate, I understand the idea of why pride exists. It isn't the 70's so there is no need to hide it and live in the shadows, so in a sense that freedom to be means they also have the freedom the be out and "proud", as opposed to be ashamed or living with the notion that what they're doing is wrong but I would agree that it goes too far and it reaches just obnoxious levels of faggotry. I mean, in general I dislike policies and practices that will, if deployed at scale, eventually result in the collapse of humanity. That was a laughable prospect a few years ago but gen a is said to be something like 75% queer, to say nothing of the somber dating statistics and even more dire fertility rates... But in general I agree. As I said the issue with me isn't with homos quite as much, it's the relentless promotion and praise of a behavior which will literally result in our extinction if left unchecked. Theres a wide gulf between tolerance and celebration, and I am on the former side of that gulf. You're making an implicit projection of what your definition of a gay man is, and your definition seems to hinge on whether or not he acts outwardly "gay" in public. Frankly I don't make a habit of wearing my sexuality on my sleeve, and it makes me fairly uncomfortable when people do. That's just a perspective and I think I've given plenty of disclaimers to demonstrate I'm not particularly homophobic. For what it's worth I've topped, bottomed, fucked MTF and femboys and 2 of my previous LTRs now live as men. So I'm not stranger to the world of queers. One of the reasons I was never comfortable with the prospect of actually being gay was just how repulsive and irresponsible I found the community. In the early days it was the real threat of disease, but also the vanity, disposable sex, and dysfunctional nature of relationships that was the norm in gay NYC in the early aughts. Maybe that's better now, but it's all the more reason why people don't need to act out as much as they do.

I think as I said earlier, it's more from a place of disdain for self centered and unserious people who live their lives like nothing else matters. Pic related btw.

Terrible people acting in terrible ways earn and deserve their contempt. Contemptible people should be shunned, reformed, or eradicated. Not a bit of that statement involves race or sexuality no matter how much you insist it does. Since faggots refuse to keep a respectful distance aka keep their shit to themselves and reform is obviously not going to happen that leaves extermination. If they can't be good people whatever their sexuality may be they should not exist.
