In all honesty, if I so desired to acquire items that would allow me to cause harm to myself or others, it would hardly be much of a challenge. But for legal reasons, there are restrictions on what I can and cannot purchase, own, or use. Since I'm currently both stable and lucid, I understand the reasons behind these, and while a lot of the items in my house- and many of my work tools- could be potentially considered dangerous- the risks of these items are generally seen as a much lower risk of danger than say, a machete, a gun or a car. Similarly, I'm able to recognise the warning signs of my own symptoms and take steps to distance myself from things like sharp objects and blades if I feel there's a risk that I may suffer an episode or lose lucidity.
