Also create a Charles Schwab account and invest in dividend earning stocks. (I like CAT, Coke, and McDonalds). Look up different stocks that earn you dividends and hold your money. Put some money into bitcoin as well.

Many companies will match you up to a certain percentage as well and give you money to invest in your retirement. I myself have made close to 100k in the last 5 years saving and investing. Currently I have ~20% ROI, so I'm not sure if 3% growth of savings is a better option for me. Poker consumes a lot of time, but I play stakes high enough now to make it worthwhile.
